For the assessment of current and future land use planning and development in the South East Queensland Koala Protection Area, against the South East Queensland Koala Conservation State Planning Regulatory Provision (SPRP) instrument. This is in accordance with the s20 provisions of the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 (SPA), which are intended to ameliorate environmental degradation, reflecting the policies and intent of the South East Queensland Regional Plan (2009-2021).
The Map of Assessable Development Area (Version 1.1) maps the areas where the development assessment requirements of the South East Queensland Koala Conservation State Planning Regulatory Provisions apply. The Map of Assessable Development Area relates only to land within the seven eastern local government areas of South East Queensland (Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Brisbane, Redland, Ipswich, Gold Coast and Logan). This Assessable Development Area includes 'priority koala assessable development areas' and 'koala assessable development areas'. This mapping helps determine the applicable division under the SPRP that applies to a particular development application. |
