Service Description: Buildings and settlements are integral components of human geography and urban planning. They refer to the constructed infrastructure and human habitation areas in a geographical area. This theme includes the following feature classes: * Homesteads * Building points [topographic] * Building areas [topographic] * Built up areas These datasets display a collection of building structures across the State of Queensland. They have been manually digitised to represent different building types and are captured from many data sources, ranging from traditional topographic paper maps to advanced digital satellite and aerial imagery. They provide generalised information for topographical mapping purposes. * Building outlines [generated] The generated building outlines dataset has been created on behalf of The Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) for the purpose of performing rapid damage assessments for natural disaster events. They have been captured via automatic processors with minimal manual input. Emphasis is on identifying these structures rather than accurate outlines and are generated by project area and does not have statewide coverage. This service provides access to the following spatial datasets: * _Building points [topographic]_ (built.build_buildingpoints) * _Homesteads_ (built.build_homesteads) * _Building areas [topographic]_ (built.build_buildingareas) * _Building outlines [generated]_ (built.generated_buildingoutlines) * _Built up areas_ (built.build_builtupareas)
