Service Description: This service provides coastal hazard data including erosion prone areas and
storm tide innundation. The Department of Environment and Science has assessed
the erosion vulnerability of the Queensland coast, and erosion prone areas
have been declared to inform planning and development decisions. To assist
decision makers and inform the public, the Queensland Government has
encouraged and supported local government to undertake storm tide inundation
studies and has acquired high resolution digital elevation data to help map
areas vulnerable areas.
This service provides access to the following spatial datasets:
* _Historical tidal works approvals\Permits under the Harbours Act 1955 [point data]_
* _Historical tidal works approvals\Permits under the Harbours Act 1955 [line data]_
* _Coastal building line_
* _Coastal management district_
* _Erosion prone area\Component 2 - calculated erosion distance_
* _Erosion prone area\Component 3 - sea level rise_
* _Erosion prone area\Component 1 - 40m buffer from highest astronomical tide_
* _Storm tide\High hazard area_
* _Storm tide\Medium hazard area_
* _Coastal hazard data not available_
