description: The watercourse identification map (WIM) series shows the known extent of geographic features that are managed under the Water Act 2000 section 5AA: watercourses, drainage features, downstream limits, lakes, springs. Downstream limit of a watercourse, means - (a) if a point is identified on the watercourse identification map as the downstream limit of the watercourse - the point identified on the map; or (b) otherwise - the point to which the high spring tide ordinarily flows and reflows in the watercourse, whether due to a natural cause or to an artificial barrier. Further information on the intent and use of the watercourse identification map is shown at https://www.business.qld.gov.au/industries/mining-energy-water/water/maps-data/watercourse-map.
