description: Spatial prioritisation using the Koala Habitat Suitability Model developed by the Department of Environment and Science and a set of threats, constraints, opportunities and resilience factors known to influence the viability of koalas and their habitat was used by the Koala Policy and Oversight (KPO) team to develop Koala Priority Areas (KPAs). These large contiguous areas in South East Queensland will be targeted by policy developed for the protection and restoration of koala habitat in the region.
