<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This Dataset represents the current status and geospatial extent of Regional Plans or Regional Planning Projects in Queensland - as defined by the Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning. Several areas have statutory plans in force. Some Planning areas are ‘In Progress’ and are not finalised at this stage - these areas are subject to change and users should check if final versions of those regional plans have been released - as required. Whilst this dataset does reflect regional plan areas, there are also included some areas that are covered by planning frameworks similar to a regional plan - EG: Surat Basin Regional Planning Framework.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
The purpose of the Regional Plan dataset is to ensure users can identify the regional plan or associated regional planning project within an area of interest as different Regional Plans have unique planning and development requirements. This dataset is designed for internal and external departmental use.

Previous internal DSDIP datasets that indicate regional plan boundaries have been used incompilation and revision for this dataset. Additional Planning information sourced from local and state government agencies, and the associated regional plans. Attribute information differs according to location and available reference sources at the time of compilation. Legal status of the regional plans is shown as is based on departmental advice - sourced January 2013. Please note the legal and positional status of regional plans is subject to change - users should check the current status if this is required.
