This dataset is a Soil Landscapes map covering the State of Queensland, and is a subset of the national Atlas of Australian Soilsdataset (Northcote et al. 1960-1968). The digital version of the Atlas of Australian Soils was created by NRIC in 1991 from scanned tracings of the published hardcopy maps (1 - 10). The mapping scale is 1: 2,000,000 and 1,426 Soil Landscapes were identified. The original survey was completed by CSIRO. For further information on the ATLAS of Australian Soil coverage visit http://www.asris.csiro.au/themes/Atlas.html.

Provides a graphical representation of the expected Soil Landscapes across Queensland at a level of detail appropriate for 1: 2,000,000 scale.
QLD_LAN_ATLAS_2M_A
SOIL", "Sciences", "State or Territory
