<suppInfo>The first method used was a level and plane table mounted on top of a topo. trailer. Sites were targetted on a staff mounted on the back of a motorbike. The second method used was an early total station with a bank of 9 prisms, mounted to the front of the bike, and the bike would ride grid lines and stop approximately 100 metres.
The third method used was real time kinematics (RTK) GPS, with a unit mounted on the bike, and using a GPS base station which was set up on a PSM which had been coordinated, for horizontal and vertical height. The height in all 3 of these methods would be considered to be the hardest to achieve. The third methods accuracy is around 0.1m for vertical height and better for horizontal positional accuracy.</suppInfo>
