The Sugarcane biosecurity zones dataset is the spatial representation of the Sugarcane biosecurity zones 1 to 6 represented by lines at specified Latitude & Longitude then clipped by the Queensland State border to the west and south and Local Government Authority boundaries on the seaward extremities. These boundaries are current as of 29thJune 2016These boundaries are the legislative boundaries where movement restrictions apply to restrict the spread of pests and diseases within the state. Zone 1 and 2 are established as biosecurity zones for the Fiji leaf gall virus(syn. Fiji disease virus); and the Sugarcane striate mosaic-associated virus.Zone 3 is established as a biosecurity zone for the Fiji leaf gall virus(syn. Fiji disease virus) Zone 4 and 5 are established as biosecurity zones for the Fiji leaf gall virus(syn. Fiji disease virus); and the Sugarcane striate mosaic virus(Strain A)Zone 6 is established as a biosecurity zone for the Fiji leaf gall virus(syn. Fiji disease virus); the Sugarcane striate mosaic-associated virus; and the Sugarcane striate mosaic virus(Strain A)Additional informationThe six Sugar cane Biosecurity Zones replace all Sugar cane biosecurity zones which were repealed on 1 July 2016 following the introduction of the Biosecurity Act 2014.

Zone 1 is from Coen to Townsville and represented by a line at Latitude 13 degrees 45 minutes south to Latitude 19 degrees 15 minutes south.
Zone 2 is from Townsville to Abbotts Point and represented by a line at Latitude 19 degrees 15 minutes south to Latitude 19 degrees 53 minutes south on the East Queensland coast then at the coastline junction follows a line across to Longitude 147 degrees 55 minutes east down to Latitude 29 degrees 33 minutes south, then west across the State. Zone 3 is from Abbotts Point to Rockhampton and represented by the line of the southern extent of Zone 2 to Latitude 23 degrees 27 minutes south.
Zone 4 is from Rockhampton to Victoria Point and represented by a line at Latitude 23 degrees 27 minutes south to Latitude 27 degrees 37 minutes south.
Zone 5 is from Victoria Point to the NSW / QLD border and represented by a line at Latitude 27 degrees 37 minutes south to the cadastral boundary between the states.
Zone 6 is the Woodford special zone defined by Latitude 26 degrees 50 minutes south, Latitude 27 degrees 04 minutes south and Longitude 152 degrees 53 minutes east, Longitude 152 degrees 34 minutes east.
