It has green to grey-green egg-shaped pads with yellow to white spines up to 6cm long that are slightly curved and very hard.  Like other opuntias, it can invade pasture land and the sharp spines cause injury to people and animals.  <\/SPAN><\/SPAN><\/P><\/DIV>",
