<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>This dataset is the spatial representation of the Queensland waste levy zone as defined under the Waste Reduction and Recycling Act 2011 and Waste Reduction and Recycling (Waste Levy) Amendment Regulation 2019. The waste levy zone includes 39 out of 78 local government areas. Of these, 12 LGAs are considered Metro Zones and 27 are considered Regional Zones. The waste levy zone is defined as 39 local government areas as listed in the Queensland Waste Reduction and Recycling (Waste Levy) Amendment Regulation 2019. In 2023 11 LGAs were labelled Metro Zones while 28 LGAs were labelled Regional Zones. The waste levy zone spatial dataset is derived from the Local government area boundaries - Queensland spatial layer sourced from the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development (DNRMMRRD).
