The data sets included in this service are the foundation data that the
Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and
Rural Development is responsible for maintaining as a member of the Queensland
Spatial Information Council (QSIC). These data sets include:
* Land Parcels from Digital Cadastre Data (DCDB) comprising base, easement, strata and volumetric coverage types. - updated nightly,
* Address data from the Queensland Address Management Framework database - updated nightly,
* Gazetted and current place names from the Queensland Place Names database - updated nightly,
* State Border - updated as required,
* Coastline - updated as required,
* Local Government Areas - updated quarterly,
* Locality Boundaries - updated quarterly,
* Survey control marks - updated nightly, and
* Other topographic feature layers updated as required.
The topographic data incorporates inputs from a variety of sources, levels of
precision, methodologies of data acquisition, and time periods. The primary
objective of this data is to provide a cartographic portrayal of Queensland's
natural and constructed features and should be interpreted and utilised
correctly.
Users are responsible for verifying the data's appropriateness for their
intended applications and for any conclusions or actions derived from its use
and should seek independent professional advice in relation to dealings with
Queensland's digital spatial data.
