This dataset displays waterholes within eastern Queensland. The area covered includes all the east coast drainage basins from the South Coast Drainage Basin (NSW border) to the Endeavour Drainage Basin (Cooktown).<\/SPAN> <\/SPAN>Those features within the coastal drainage basins have been captured at 1:25000 mapping specifications. Waterholes are a natural depression less than 625 sq<\/SPAN>.<\/SPAN> metres which holds perennial water, within a non-perennial watercourse. For such features larger than 625 sq<\/SPAN>.<\/SPAN> metres please refer to the Lakes or Watercourse Areas datasets. Features are attributed with names and name source where available. Features have been captured or updated from the best available imagery with an attribute within the data describing the source and reliability.
